Summer Concerts in and around NYC

Summer is associated with many things. Beach, travel, summer school, weight loss,
new loves, old loves, a new book, and much more.

In and around NYC, summer is also a great season for concerts.
Rock, oldies, the philharmonic, McCartney!

If you are staying local and want to see amazing concerts every Thursday night,
right off the beach, then head to Asser Levy Park in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn!

Every year, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosts famous acts from
Dionne Warwick to The Mamas and Papas and everyone in between.
This year's concerts started on July 16th with Creedence Clearwater Revisited and
Jack Bruce of Cream! It will end in August with Donna Summer!
In the middle of these two infamous acts, are: Blondie, Hall and Oates and Frankie
Valli!
What more can you as for and for FREEEEEE.
Of course if you want to sit up close, you can pay $5 for seats. Wow, $5? I cant even
get a shmatte latte for that price..

I am there!

If you are heading out of town, Upstate ny to be specific, you want to visit Bethel
Woods.
Home to weekend concerts with past acts such as Earth Wind and Fire and
Hippiefest!
This year the opening act is no one other than Bob Dylan!! Along with John
Mellencamp and Willie Nelson! What a show...
Where can you see them perform, within 2 hours of NYC and with all of the hills
and fresh air that Bethel Woods has to offer?
While these concerts are not free, the air and hills are!
You can get a great lawn seat or one closer to the stage in the ampitheater.
The Bethel Museum is a must see while you are there!

There are truly so many annual and one time concerts going on in and around town
all summer long.
Check your local papers, online at gonyc, com, or with local travel and tourism
offices.

Enjoy!
