Brooklyn Aces are flying high!

When I first found out about Brooklyn’s new and first Hockey team I was surprised to say the least. I had not heard anything until I received
an email invite to attend a charity game the Brooklyn Aces held earlier this month. Apparently they have many charity events in connection with
their home games.

The team is very community oriented and everyone from the players to the management get involved. The Brooklyn Aces team is comprised
mainly of players from 20-35 years of age. The Aces are a single "A" professional hockey team who are part of a new league called the EPHL.
They are affiliated with the NHL, currently have 4 teams this season with an additional 3-5 teams joining next year. These 4 teams are from Ct,
NJ, Upstate NY and “downstate” NY (i.e. The Brooklyn Aces!) The players are professional and they originate from all across the countryThe
Brooklyn Aces play a 50 game season and the arenas played in,
have a seating capacity of between1600-2500.

Speaking of arenas played in, The Brooklyn Aces make their home at the Aviator Sports Complex in Floyd Bennett Field. Centrally located in
Brooklyn and just over the bridge from Queens, the complex is home to year round affordable family entertainment and sports related activities.
The Brooklyn Aces continue that representation by offering hockey fans professionally played games at affordable prices. However, like all
good hockey games there may be one or two “little” on ice “arguments!”

NFL, 3ality Digital and RealD Team up for a First-of-Its-Kind Live 3D Broadcast!

The National Football League has recently announced they will be testing a three dimensional broadcast format which could create a new home
viewing experience, unmatched by anything seen to date.

This full digital 3d format is being made available for a private viewing on December 4th in three major cities. Hollywood, New York City and
Boston will be hosting this launch event. The three-dimensional nature of the broadcast, which incorporates near pixel-perfect quality, is able to
convey the sense among viewers that they are actually on the field with the players.

The groundbreaking broadcast will feature NFL’s network Thursday Night Football game between the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland
Raiders. The NFL has played an important role in the evolution of media and consumer acceptance of emerging technologies. Burbank-based
3ality Digital is overseeing production and transmission of the 3D broadcast. The company has established itself as the leading provider of
digital 3D offerings by bringing to market the first live action film shot entirely in digital 3D.

RealD’s mission-critical 3D visualization technologies are used by organizations such as NASA, Pfizer, BMW, Boeing and more.
