"The Hideaway" Restaurant
781-85 Evergreen Walk
Ocean Beach, NY 11770
I sat there as the private boats saddled into the jetty  and the people were escorted by the pier captain
to come into this restaurant on the water, I thought what a wonderful life, fine food the best wines,
ocean views all within this tiny island Hide Away.
The Hideaway restaurant on Ocean Beach Fire Island is probably the most romantic place I have ever
dined in. Just think about this picture, the sun sets it’s a beautiful breezy summer night, the fragrance
of fresh spices and broths spill from the kitchen beautiful women and men all around you as the ocean
casts its spell over the candle lit room and for a moment your truly happy I mean the kind of
happiness that warms your heart and makes you feel good to be alive.
Is that to much of a description, maybe but I tell you that’s how I felt sitting in the best restaurant on
Fire Island.  The Hide Away restaurant in Ocean Beach Fire Island offers some the
best food and views that I have ever experienced.
Executive Chef David Sunday has creatively taken the flavors and the feeling of his Ocean Beach
surroundings and combined them into a menu that offers seafood in a fresh and new presentation.

the theme here is fine dining but don’t let the sandals and flip flops fool you the folks
eating here are serious about their choices in fine dining.
So serious they are jumping onto their boats to get here.
And after the three beautiful dishes above, the lovely waitress Jessica continued

in a  hypnotic flavor frenzy.
