How Long have you been an artist
Kasha: All my life.
what are you working on right now
Kasha: Building a body of work of ABSTRACT IMAGES, to share with the Fine Art of Photography world. Most recently I have returned from
Thunder Bay Ontario Canada from 7 weeks of -30 degree below zero weather where I shot the FIRES I made in the basement of my cousins
house. Its called ‘EXILE’. I shot over 1000 frames, edited to 81 final, magical images.
How long have you been a professional artist?
Kasha: Since 1994.
Exile, what is this ?
Kasha: The series EXILE is a gift from the universe.
Does EXILE mean that your lonely?
Kasha: No, not at all. I am in EXILE by choice. Being lonely is not the same as being alone. I have EXILED myself to prove a point.
What is the point ?
Kasha: That the Universe always delivers and even if you EXILE yourself.
What type of pictures do you ususally take
Kasha: ABSTRACT IMAGES and I test Male Models.
What kind of techniques do you use in the studio
Kasha: The world is my studio, I shoot outside. I use natural light, and softbox light, or bounce when I need it.
Whats your favorite color
Kasha: Thats impossible for me to choose. Lately I like the combination of PINK, WHITE, BLACK.
Your favorite music
Kasha: Also impossible for me to choose.
You take photos of men would you say that your a voyuer?
Kasha: Of course I am a voyeur, I am an Artist.
Have any steamy affairs ever followed your photo sessions with a model
Kasha: NO, never.
Why do you Take photos of men
Kasha: I love the male form, the shape, as a piece of art. Men are beautiful as they are. I am a minimalist at heart so shooting women drives me
crazy...too high maintenance.
Do you have any favorite photographers?
Kasha: I appreciate EVERY photographer that breaks through to the other side.
Where is your studio?
Kasha: The world is my studio, I shoot outside.
What is your background nationality
Kasha: 50% Polish (mother) 50% Ukrainian(father).
How old are you
Kasha: Old enough and young enough.
Did you study art and photography
Kasha: YES...I have studied Art first as an illustrator, than an interior designer, than a photographer.
Do you show with any gallerys
Kasha: I have had well over 15 exhibitions in a variety of venues...never a gallery, that is NEXT
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
Kasha: MIAMI, paradise.

“The magic behind photography
belongs to the photographer.
It’s not about creating beautiful
images, it’s about sharing the
magic. KASHA
Photographer, KASHA (born Katherine Marie Tomski, March 11, 1969)
in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. Her early years were spent in southern Ontario; St. Catherine’s and later Georgian Bay where KASHA
studied under award winning Water Colour Painter HUGH NIBLOCK at Penetanguishene Secondary School receiving Art Awards her senior
years.
KASHA proceeded to Guelph University on scholarship where British Painter & Professor
MARGARET PRIEST noted her talent and ‘self willed’ nature.
1991 KASHA was accepted 1 of 80 international students out of 1500 applicants into
the Interior Design program at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Toronto Ontario where she fell in love with PHOTOGRAPHY. She quit interior
design and enrolled in evening classes for photography.
With signed out camera equipment KASHA volunteered for the RYERSONIAN magazine to shoot live concerts of rock bands and published her
first COVER. This school paper arranged photo passes for concerts PANTERA, WHITE ZOMBIE, INSPIRAL CARPETS, ICE-CUBE; free film, and
dark room equipment to print her first portfolio of concert images that were exhibited in a group show at a local gay bar in support for AIDES.
KASHA was the only female artist. She recycled old wooden frames with silver spray paint and black hand painted waves for the installation.
Also during this time KASHA was published in the annual Fine Art magazine THE WHITE WALL REVIEW, an abstract black and white photo of
her brother’s toes. At this point she was using her adopted name (through a second marriage of her mother) until she saw it printed as a credit,
where she decided create KASHA.
1994 still new to the big city of Toronto KASHA ventured out on her own to contributed to EYE weekly, CHAOS, FREEWHELLIN, APPLE
magazines with images of DANIEL ASH, ICE T, TYPE O NEGATIVE, THE VERVE, 54 40, JUNKHOUSE, and countless local bands.
By 1996 KASHA’S reputation as a local photographer was growing as she maintained a strong underground social life with personal
appearances on the runway in fashion shows, exposing her ‘Random Images’ collection by organising group Art shows at restaurants, bars,
lounges and spending many sunrises walking in the deserted city from exclusive ‘boozecans ‘ with her kin spirits.
It was a natural progression for KASHA to begin scouting male local her independent exhibitions:
‘BOYZ IN DA HOOD’
‘CHAMPAIGN BLOODS‘ ‘
PRINCES OF THE CORPORATE KINGDOM’
At the same time, her installations became more sophisticated and professional with sponsors for printing, frames, food, alcohol and media
attention.
1997-2001 KASHA moved to SOUTH BEACH Florida in pursuit of international recognition. She
successfully exhibited 3 series:
‘DROPDEAD GORGEOUS’
‘ ROAD TRIP’
‘MEANWHILE SOMEWHERE IN PARADISE’
and published images in OCEAN DRIVE, CHANNELS, EGO TRIP, FASHION TIMES magazines. She also continued to shoot males models as
TESTS for different agencies in Miami and Toronto.
Post 911 KASHA had returned to Toronto, upgraded with digital equipment and software skills.
The next few years KASHA dove into the evolution of the internet with the help of government entrepreneur program KASHA opened
alwaysKASHA Marketing Boutique to provide WEBSITE REVAMPS, online marketing strategies, video, and photography services.
During this time KASHA exhibited
‘TRANQUILITY’ – her first digital photography exhibition of landscapes of Georgian Bay Ontario.
2005-KASHA discovered ‘The BUDDHA Within’, a novel that delivered a spiritual calm and security. Adopting the philosophies of the Buddhist
KASHA accepted her lone wolf nature which moved her attention to more abstract imagery. By 2007 KASHA returned to MIAMI to call home.
2008 – KASHA exhibited 2 series:
‘UMBRELLA’
‘MIAMI NIGHTS’
Presently KASHA is moving quickly into the Fine Art of Photography world with new series:
‘WATER TRAFFIC’
‘EXILE’
KASHA sees the world as her studio and intends to build a body of ABSTRACT work that documents her lifetime.
