Huge glass picturesque windows frame lake Teedyuskung in a panoramic view that wraps around the entire dining room and the lighting is more than breathtaking
during the bright early morning sunshine into the gold and blue hues of the approaching evening.
Entertainment seemed to be the theme and boy was I entertained. Saturday morning started off with an itinerary that would guarantee a healthy appetite when
lunchtime rolled around. Starting at 10:00 Am just after breakfast the schedule, which is given to all guests when you sign in started with batting cages for the
baseball lovers
Bumper cars, Viper Go Carts an Indoor Forest Playground, Bumper Boats, Paddle and Row Boats and the shooting barn. Movies, bowling and painting classes and
this is all before lunch. Then came the evening events some of my favorites which included a Broadway style show Live Music, Karaoke parties WoodLochs
Traditional Horse racing game which is also held in the Broadway style theatre and the list goes on.
Matched with a healthy and delicious menu that leaves one satisfied and ready for the fun and exciting events to come.
I have to admit I spent a lot of time in the Jacuzzi and pool, which is also framed, by the lake and forests in windows that rise from the floor to the ceiling.

The time was 1944 our country was in the midst of WWII and Harry Keisendahl
Joined the Navy to serve his country leaving his bride to be at home waiting for his return, and to go back with him to
the enchanted place in Pennsylvania where she had spent so many of her childhood years and where Harry and Mary
had sealed their vow of marriage by driving two steaks into the soft Earth in the forest.
She looked forward to being there again with him.
When Harry returned from service in the Navy he immediately went to work.
Being an enterprising young man he took many jobs but wanted desperately to own his own business so he and his
friend Andrew Sarosy opened up the Park Side Sweet Shop
In Massapequa Park NY, Mary baked cakes and cookies for the shop at home. After several expansions and eventually
selling it he moved on to purchasing the Confectionary in Huntington Long Island with his new partner Arthur
Waltham.
Eventually Harry was running a successful operation known as the Towne House shops.
He and Mary would come together with old friends Don and Marge Kranich who also
Ran local business’s in Huntington LI, and they decided to take a trip to the country where they could bring their family’
s to relax and unwind.
After a trip to Split Rock Lodge in the Pocono’s Harry was so impressed with the experience he began to scan the
papers in search of Resorts for sale.
Then one day Harry found a small ad in The New York Times, which mentioned a resort for sale on a lake in PA.
When Mary overheard Harry’s conversation on the phone
And found out that the resort was on Lake Teedyuskung she knew that this was the beginning of a new life In the
Pocono mountains on the same lake she loved so much and told the children to begin packing.

Kiesendahl family and is run by brothers Steve and John Kiesendahl. I arrived on a Friday evening and decided to take
the trip to the resort on my own mainly because it was the first time I have traveled by myself. After doing a little
research on Woodloch I had a good feeling that this would be a great place to unwind and decompress, after a busy year

After spending a two hour bus ride day dreaming as the city landscape turned to mountains and trees on both sides of
the highway I was met in Hawley PA
By Herb, who reminded me of a character out of the movie Caddy shack.
Herb took me on a brief tour of the expansive property that the Resorts are built on.
And was extremely helpful in outlining the many different facets of the Woodloch Resort and Pines experience. We
drove along winding hills and roads that overlooked the different areas that made up this community.
We drove past the Wood loch Springs and Reserve a real estate development where beautiful customized townhouse
homes are sprinkled through out the landscape and provide families the ultimate retreat, a short trip from the city at
affordable prices.
The centerpiece of this community is an 18-hole championship golf course, which was written up in Golf Magazine as
one of the top 10 golf courses in the country.
