Why do we often have to write and keep "To do lists?"

I want to start writing NOT To-do lists! All the things we should NOT do in work, at
home, and in life in general.
Then, ...what is left over is your "to-do" list!

It removes the pressure to get everything done in a ridiculously short time. AND
you will probably feel better about your accomplishments when you do do them,
because the pressure is off. A little pressure is good but a lot just gives you a
blowout...the same thing that happens to your car tires when they have TOO MUCH
pressure!

This week we will start with the "NOT to-do list" for work.

1. Do not answer unrecognized phone calls

2. Do not e-mail first thing in the morning or last thing at night
3. Do not agree to meetings or calls with no clear agenda or end time
4. Do not let people ramble with cliche sayings such as: “how’s it going?” and “what’
s up?”
5. Do not check e-mail constantly—“group” and20check at set times only
6. Do not over-communicate with high maintenance customers
7. Do not work more to fix issues—prioritize
8. Do not carry a cellphone or Blackberry 24/7, seven days a week—make evenings
and/or Saturdays and          Sundays digital leash-free.
9. Do not expect work to fill a void that non-work relationships and activities should
fill.
10. Do not make a long NOT to-do list, because that will leave you nothing NOT to
do, in the coming days and weeks...!

enjoy, ellie
