Families can enjoy an earth day picnic, while making projects out of recycled materials. There will also be a Mother's

Thursday May 7th
The First Annual Pink & Black Tie Gala of the Brooklyn Regional Office of the American Cancer Society
will be a fun-filled, rock n’ roll-themed celebration of the greatest hits of Brooklyn music, people and industry.
Hosted by Brooklyn’s own Stacy London of TLC’s What Not to Wear, the event promises to be a night to remember
in the fight against cancer.
From 6pm-10:30 pm at Steiner Studios, you will enjoy a sumptuous cocktail reception, live auction with unique and
exciting gifts, followed by an elegant dinner. All while dancing to the music of the Dexter Lake Club Band, who will
play great hits of Brooklyn's musical legends.
Proceeds go directly to fund services to help local cancer patients and their families, programs for cancer prevention
and early detection as well as national life saving ACS research!

The historic Gansevoort district in NYC, named after Revolutionary War hero General Peter Gansevoort (also the
grandfather of author Herman Melville), will play host to 3 full days and nights of design and cultural events.Now a
haven for designers, writers, restaurants and nightlife, the meatpacking district is surrounded by "prime" real estate
and famous neighbors.
