The minute Mark Riccadonna gets on stage, you’ll laugh and feel like you’ve
known him forever. Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, Mark’s dreams of
playing college football were shattered when he suffered a serious injury. At 17
he moved to New York City, attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts, and
graduated a theater major. He found himself successfully pursuing a new goal, by
becoming one of the hardest working comics in New York. Mark is so unusually funny in
his delivery, unique voice and uncanny likeability onstage and off, that he is becoming
one of the fastest rising stars on the comedy scene today. He is a much needed breath
of fresh air in comedy, a must see for young and old. Mark’s already nabbed several
national commercials (McDonald’s and Visa), is a member of the “Upright Citizen’s
Brigade”, has done stand up on “Good Morning America”, and has been featured on
“Jim Breur’s Unleashed” and the “Jamie Kennedy Experiment”. Mark has also starred on
a pilot for “Spike TV”. Mark currently works with a film company, and is a main character
of the hilarious, “Man Hole” comedy, short film series (available soon on DVD!). He is
also a regular at the most popular New York City Clubs, such as: ‘Caroline’s’, ‘The
Laugh Lounge’, and ‘The Broadway Comedy Club”. You can’t catch this rising star and
put him in your pocket….He’d burn a hole right through it! MARK ALSO HEADS THE
AVERAGE WHITE GUY TOUR: “Average White Guy Tour” - Tired of feeling excluded
because you aren’t Southern, Latino, Jewish, or Gay enough? The “Average White Guy
Tour” includes everyone (even those not overly white or average!) The idea of this tour
was born when comedian Mark Riccadonna was questioned on a radio show about the
name of his next tour. The other comedians, promoting religiously/ethnically/etc. themed
shows made Mark wonder, “Why isn’t being funny enough?” And, the sarcastically
named, “Average White Guy Tour” was born! Come and see humor meant to be
enjoyed and understood by all people. God Bless America. catch us in your town!
The NYC Underground Comedy Festival is rapidly approaching and we are in crunch time. In the next few weeks we will solidify
our lineups as people are being added everyday. The purpose of the NYC Underground Comedy Festival is to celebrate the art of
comedy. This year we have added storytelling, sideshow acts and sketch comedy. Every year it seems we get bigger and bigger. When
we get closer to our opening, A Stroke of Comedy will list all the shows and venues. In the meantime, enjoy our comics of the week.
Till next time....
