*New Year's Eve - 2-night stay: $5000
PLEASE NOTE: We have a MINIMUM renter age requirement of 25 years old.
Description: Our very upscale, newly-built, cedar log home is located in the Bearsville area (home of the renowned
Bearsville Theater and The Bear Cafe Restaurant), along one of Woodstock's most coveted picturesque roads
(Coldbrook Road). Set on 19 private acres, the home offers a true respite from the hustle and bustle...amidst serene,
unspoiled nature, yet is only minutes to the center of the town of Woodstock! The two-story home features soaring
vaulted ceilings, heavy exposed log beams throughout, custom-milled wide-plank heart pine and natural slate tile floors.
The home is comfortably furnished in the rustic, lodge-style of the Adirondack Great Camps. There is a large screened-in
porch, and expansive decking front and rear.
The Main Living Area is the 32' x 26' Great Room, the focal point of which is its massive Rumford-design wood-burning
fireplace, constructed with our own local stone gathered from the property. There is also a massive oak coffee table, that
has been in the family for years, that I built myself. It is works beautifully for serving hors d'oeuvres to large groups,
informal dining, playing board games (we have several you are welcome to use), playing cards, etc.
A true Gourmet Kitchen is highlighted by the current state-of-the art in residential restaurant-style ranges - 48' Capital
Culinarian, featuring 6 -23,000 BTU open-style gas burners, a 30,000 BTU Thermo-griddle, 2 ovens (one has convection
option) and an 18,000 BTU infrared broiler. Gorgeous honed black granite countertops are featured throughout.
Expansive center island features built-in Viking microwave oven, trash compactor and stainless steel prep sink. Main sink
is oversized in true restaurant-style, and includes a waste disposal.
The Bedrooms: There are two separate Master Bedroom wings, each with a walk-in closet and en suite bathroom. These
bedrooms feature impressive two-story vaulted ceilings with exposed upper-story windowed dormers, lodge-style ceiling
fans/lights and sliding doors leading to semi-private covered porches and deck. Both Master Bedrooms feature
sumptuous King-sized, all-natural, organic latex mattresses. The en suite bathrooms both have custom-built slate tile
showers, with ceiling-mounted 'rainshower' style showerheads, in addition to a handheld type. The east wing's shower is
a stunning 6 ft x 6 ft walk-in, featuring Hansgrohe's extraordinary 24' Raindance 'Imperial 600' showerhead, providing an
exhilarating rain-like shower experience!
The Third Bedroom is a bunk room-style set-up, with two beautiful log-built Twin over Queen-sized bunk beds (sleeps 6).
It has a large picture window, ceiling fan/light, individual reading 'lanterns,' and a wall-mounted flat screen TV with DVD
player.
The Main Bathroom features a corner-style steam shower, with overhead 'rainshower' and handheld showerhead, plus
body-sprays and integrated radio.
The 'Open Plan' Dining Area features a beautiful, rustic craftsman-built, 8 foot long bark-on hickory and curly maple
dining table that will expand to 11 feet. It will seat 12 very comfortably. The dining area's chandelier is crafted of genuine
whitetail deer antlers. Note: Any and all antler products used throughout the home are naturally shed, i.e., no animals
harmed!
The large Upstairs Loft features a vaulted, log-beamed ceiling, ceiling fan/light, an exterior balcony/deck, a comfortable,
faux-leather, sleeper sofa (Queen-sized mattress), a custom-built bark-on hickory and oak Daybed w/trundle (sleeps 2), a
60' flatscreen TV and a premium stereo sound system w/full range, floor standing speakers.
High-speed, wireless Internet (WiFi) and cable TV (Time Warner Cable) is included. There are new flat-screen TV's in each
of the bedrooms and in the loft.
There is also a very large above-ground basement that is presently unfinished. It features extra-high ceilings, sliding
doors to the exterior, picture windows and a massive stone wood-burning fireplace with a built-in, wood-fired brick oven.
*Those EXPERIENCED in making wood-fired pizza, bread, etc., may use brick oven with owner's advanced permission.
