Change Australia, Change The World is a series of benefit concerts I've created on the east coast of Australia (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane)
to raise money for
Oxfam Australia's - Close The Gap campaign. The first event is to be held in Melbourne on Thursday the 26th of
November at The Esplanade Hotel - Gerswhin Room, St Kilda.
All net profits from the event go to the charity. I used to work for Emirates
Airline as a flight attendant and through my travels I have had the privilege of meeting some of the richest and poorest people in the world. I've
seen some of the most horrific things and also unabashed joy from people who have very little. My motivation for constructing these events is
because I wish to create an awareness for all Australians as to the plights of others within our very own borders and throughout the world.  I felt it
hypocritical to be educating others without first understanding my own country, which is why I have chosen Close The Gap.
Dallas Frasca is headlining a strong line-up of established and emerging, indie talent. Melbourne-based bands The Happy Endings, Zoophyte,
Saritah, Tom Richardson (Warrnambool) and Apple Jack have all confirmed their involvement of an event this is sure to be a wonderful evening of
Aussie music. I saw The Happy Endings play with Zoophyte last month and the quality of their performance reflected their hard work from the recent
tour of Europe and 2 shows at The Viper Room in the U.S. I discovered Saritah's music several month's ago when I saw a few articles on her in the
street press here and ventured to her recent album launch at The Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy. Tom Richardson is currently doing a national tour with
his debut album and Apple Jack, while brand new on the scene, supported Ash Grunwald down at The Pier in Frankston a short while back and are
booked to play down there again in early December with Bonjah. I have a passion for music, belief in the untapped talent present in Australia and a
desire to take the lead in further building the international reputation of Australian music. These events are only the first of many (including
charity-linked as well as standard events) on an ever-increasing scale that I plan to create. My long-term goals for the business are to create band
brands and opportunities for emerging Australian musicians and the Australian music scene on a global scale whilst making a positive impact of the
lives of others less fortunate than myself.
Since my return from the Middle East 3 years ago, I have been working in promotions/events. In November 2006, under the New Enterprise
Incentive Scheme run by the Australian Government, I completed a Certificate IV in Small Business Management, which included government
funding for my own small business in 2008. Last year I started a Masters of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Swinburne University. Hot & Delicious
Records is a business I am in the process of creating to develop brands and business opportunities for artists/musicians within Australia &
worldwide.

I Have also been able to off-set a lot of the event running
costs by securing some of Australia’s best known brands
for sponsorship including Europcar, Student Flights
(Flight Centre), Central Sky Lounge Apartment Hotel, Billy
Hyde Staging Systems, Coopers Brewery, Just Another
Bloody Water, Nando’s, Monster Energy Drinks, Chupa
Chups, Instant Rockstar hair products all backing the first
event. Local independent radio station PBS FM, have
also come on-board covering the event as media partner.
