Voice"males"

Why, if we have SO many ways of connecting with each other these days, do we often choose to
"dis"connect ourselves from others?

Emails, voicemails, texts, phone, web chat...

What happened to being IN PERSON, LIVE, FACE to FACE, CHEEK to CHEEK?

I have one theory. Well actually more than one theory on this reality.

1) People really do NOT want to talk to each other
2) People want to communicate but forgot how to
3) People are not as good at multi-tasking as they think they are

Let us go with #3 above. Especially written for men. Men are just not good at multi-tasking in general! They
can usually only handle 1-2 things in a span of hours.

Now ask them to follow up on their phone calls, emails, and to-do list. Good luck.

And when they DO communicate and/or attend to tasks it is usually brief and demands immediate thanks from
those on the receiving end.

Why? It is the male need for instant gratification. No attention paid to the fact that it took them days to get
back to you or pick up what you asked for in the store..nooooo, that is not important. What IS important is
that you address their male mind and thank them immensely for things YOU as a woman do, often without
request. Appreciation? forget about it. That would be overstepping.

Not for him..the voice"male." There are exceptions to every rule. Take for example my friend "Joe."

Joe comes and goes, is a good person, lost in his own world at times. However, when he does come out of
his cave and communicates..it is the complete opposite! Joe OVER communicates!

He leaves me on average 6 voice"males" each time. Is he lonely, is he drunk, is he really a woman?
What male leaves so many voice"males?!"

How do I tell Joe not to call so much, when I always wanted the male to communicate and they usually do
not?

I guess the moral here is:

"Be careful what you wish for," as you just may wind up with more voice"males" than you can handle..and
you will wind up "dis"connecting too!

That is how it starts and before we know it we become a society of excessive emails and silent voices!
