"How Animals Help our Community and How the Community Can Help Animals"
Tuesday May 12th-8pm- St. Philip's Parish Hall- 80th street and 11th avenue.

Sponsored by the Dyker Heights Civic Association, this timely and crucial event to help animals both locally and city wide is a
must attend!

You will hear from animal loving and involved speakers from the The Mayor's Office of Animal Alliance, Humane Law
Enforcement and author and amazing animal activist, Mary Jo Tobin.

In these days of economic turndown, when many are considering surrendering their animals for lack of ability to financially
care for them, you will learn ways to avoid this occurrence as well as how therapy dogs help comfort and heal seniors. How
to prevent and recognize animal cruelty and who to call, how to work with and help TNR (trap neuter and release) groups,
who endlessly help prevent the overgrowth of the stray cat population while caring for those who are already stray. Local
rescue groups will be on hand and there will be an interactive Q& A session at the conclusion of this very important event.
