Oleg Osipoff "Was born in 1969 in a family of doctors in Grodno.
It was nothing their unremarkable childhood – school, sports sections, games in a courtyard… But I always would like to decorate with bright
paints “grey everyday life” then still Soviet Union, to sate by this set of positive stories the unfair, sometimes spiteful and hopeless atmosphere
of society… But at the time I did not realize that it is a desire, and I just draw - colour pencils, water colour paints, ink, sometimes simply ball
pen.

A year later after school when I was 18 years old, I was called to serve in the army… It was the hard school of life and has affected to my
creativity in the future also. During service in army, when time permitted, I as well developed my skills in art.
After I finished military service, I enrolled a medical institute, but have not finished it. I have decided to study in art academy. My country has
gradually changed for the better, opened a lot of new and interesting things. I had the opportunity to visit different countries, get acquainted
with different cultures, categories and trends of art… My ideas for creativity transformed and continuously changed . I have researched the
history of art, I was attending the exhibitions of famous artists, I was buying albums about paintings and sculptures … After graduating from
the Academy of Arts, I have not stopped working on painting and constantly improve my technique, the composition, color sensation.

My paintings are a mirror of subjective perception of the world. Reflexion of the books read by me, films viewed, the theatrical performances,
lived and the endured vital moments. Some of my works are not entered in frameworks of stereotypical  thinking, that pleases , as they force
people to think, reflect and argue.

I intentionally leave it to the spectator the possibility  ” to complete” almost half of my plan in painting,  is to “release consciousness” and to see
something of their own, understandable only to them. I find it necessary to leave some riddle and innuendo rather than present on the canvas
everything ready to normal perception.

Alexander Blok said: “Тhe direct duty of the artist – to show and not to prove.” I like this saying
Currently I live and work in Moscow. In the year I paint four six paintings. My works are in private collections in Russia, USA, Israel, France,
Germany, Sweden, etc. For all the time I had three solo exhibitions:
1999. in Warsaw in the gallery “Vienna”
2007. in Miami at the gallery “Free Art”
2009. in Moscow, “Valentine Ryabov Gallery”
