My real name is Bénédicte CHIOMENTO. My adventure with one of a kind polymer clay dolls started in 2010, after I
discovered them while surfing the internet. I live in France in a very small village lost in nature and I’m 37 years old.
Married with 3 daughters, I often joke and say that I have 3 jobs: mother, physics teacher and doll maker!
I learned sculpture by myself through internet and through mostly trial and error, changing and adapting my techniques
step by step. I started modeling with cold porcelain but I had to sculpt quickly and nevertheless details were disappearing
when the clay was drying that’s why I changed in 2012 for ProSculpt clay.
Sculpting is my favourite pastime. After a long working day, sitting down to sculpt is very relaxing and pleasant. While I’m
creating a doll I imagine her story, she comes into life and leads me where she wants. I love the moment when my girls
come to me, look at the doll and ask me her story!
I really would like sculpting more and more but time is lacking.
